Job Description: The Director of International Casualty will play a key role in leading and managing our international casualty insurance division.

This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the global insurance landscape, particularly in casualty lines of business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving profitable growth, developing and implementing underwriting strategies, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities: * Develop and execute strategic plans to expand Starr Insurance's international casualty business and achieve revenue targets.

* Lead a team of underwriters and support staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to drive team success.

* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including actuaries, claims professionals, and risk engineers, to assess and mitigate risk and optimize underwriting decisions.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and other external partners to drive business development and retention efforts.

* Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to inform underwriting strategies and product development initiatives.

* Assure that underwriting guidelines, pricing models and risk assessment tools are followed in the underwriting process.

* Monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics to assess the performance of the international casualty portfolio and identify areas for improvement.

* Represent Starr Insurance at industry conferences, client meetings, and other networking events to enhance our brand visibility and reputation.

Qualifications: - * Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field; advanced degree or professional designation (e.g., CPCU, ACII) preferred.

* Minimum of 15 years of experience in international casualty underwriting, with a demonstrated track record of success in driving profitable growth and managing complex risks.

* Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential.

* Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

* Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Starr Insurance Companies is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets: experience and training: licensure and certifications: and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $275,000-$325,000.
