+ Ability to work evenings and weekends + Ability to follow standard safety practices and procedures + Ability to effectively communicate with others + Ability to read and understand university policy and procedures, MSDS, equipment manuals and chemical labels + Standing and walking 8 hours a day; lifting up to 80 pounds; outside exposure to varying climate conditions, elevated heights, dust, toxic chemicals, and materials + High School Diploma or equivalent + Possession of valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications + Bachelors' degree in related field + Prior work experience in facility maintenance & athletics + Knowledge of maintenance equipment and tools + An understanding of metal welding equipment and applications + Prior experience with AV equipment and digital displays + Forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift experience Job Description Responsible for providing attractive, safe and well-maintained landscape and athletic fields.

Job Duties + Assist with maintaining the functional and aesthetic integrity of department facilities + Performs general and preventive maintenance, and minor repair work to equipment and facilities.

Reports major repair or other issues to supervisor + Maintains facilities in a clean and orderly condition + Performs routine inspections of equipment and facilities + Coordinates repairs with outside vendors or contractors when necessary + Assist with the setup, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of AV and electronic equipment + Assist with the staging, preparation, and breakdown for events hosted in athletic facilities.

+ Maintains a variety of records and work orders related to the repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities.

+ Other duties as assigned.
