Hull and Company seeks a Binding Authority Renewal Underwriter to join our Daytona Beach, FL team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: * Reviews insurance renewal applications to evaluate, classify, and rate individuals and groups for insurance and accepts or rejects applications by performing the following duties.

* Review renewal applications to confirm that information is appropriate to determine underwriting actions.

* Determine renewal underwriting actions.

* Accept or decline risks based on own analysis of options.

* Review all risks for new and renewal business for any securities law practice exposure.

* Implement methods for promotion of policies or improvements to processes.

* May train or supervise junior level assistants.

* Verify complete and proper coding.

* Compliance with Quality Control guidelines.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Collaborates with Broker with regard to unusual coverages.

* Maintains knowledge of all markets available to maximize opportunities to negotiate placements.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: * Exceptional telephone demeanor * Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality * 3 - 5 years industry experience Preferred * Bachelor's Degree (B.A) from four-year college or university * 220 License * Experience with excess and surplus lines underwriting agency or company a plus.
