FS is currently searching for a Shop Maintenance Helper to join our Shop Team to support. In this position we will utilize your natural mechanical inclination and provide you with valuable hands-on training in all aspects of Trailer Repair.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will perform and learn to perform growing levels of preventative maintenance functions and repairs on trailers. This includes preventative maintenance (“PM”), DOT Inspections, oil changes, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, electrical/brake/cooling systems, conducting safety checks and daily pre/post trip inspections, etc. in a Shop environment.

Contributes to achievement of Maintenance Shop department goals and objectives.

Maintains a safe and compliant working environment.

Attends management meetings when requested.

Other duties as assigned to meet business requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years’ experience in a related field

Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.

Strong mechanical inclination and proven ability to learn and apply mechanical training to real work functions.

Good computer skills and ability utilize technology effectively and to learn new systems and applications.

Possesses hand tools necessary to perform required job duties is preferred.

Participate in and complete all-in company required training.

The ability to read/follow maps, routes, and GPS system.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

Dependable, organized and committed.

Positive attitude, good instincts, and self-motivation

Familiarity with the local geography.

High energy, a positive attitude, adaptability, and strong work ethic. Resourceful and motivated.
