Office Manager

Full-time onsite project-based temporary role.

JOB PURPOSE/TARGET

At El Gouna Film Festival, smooth processes and systems are the key to our success. We’re looking for an office manager who has excellent organizational skills and a personable disposition to keep us thriving. The ideal candidate will have a natural flexibility in handling day-to-day routines as well as surprises. The office manager will provide strong, reliable support for operations onsite at our Cairo office as well as during the festival.

Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee visitors to the office and ensure a friendly, personal experience.

Ensure office efficiency by maintaining common areas, organizing procedures, handling correspondence, managing file systems, and overseeing supplies and equipment.

Oversee day-to-day office activities as the main point of contact in the reception area, and keep management informed regularly via performance reports.

Ensure peak operations for the organization and implement preventive measures for potential issues.

Monitors office management and designs innovative work systems.

Works with the Human Resources team to update office policies and onboard new hires.

Oversees guest experience, greets and answers direct phone calls.

May help plan in-house or off-site activities.

Provide direct administrative support as needed, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and events; booking travel; maintaining file systems; mailing and shipping packages; and updating contacts database and employee lists.

Manage all aspects of space/infrastructure planning (ex: moves, additions, changes to workstations) and provide answers, resources, and solutions when requested.

Qualification & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required

Four or more years of experience in office management

Strong time-management and people skills, high degree of flexibility, and excellent multitasking ability.

Proficiency with office applications, and aptitude for learning new software and systems.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.
