Lead Maintenance Technician

Shift and Compensation

Monday- Friday 6 AM- 2 PM

Compensation is from 72,800 USD to 83,200 USD per year

Job Duties

Visually inspects and tests machinery such as Vandorn, Krauss Maffei, Cincinnati, and HPM Injection Molding Press Machines as well as others.

Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.

Skilled with Dismantling defective machines and equipment and installing new or repaired parts.

Knowledgeable with lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, replacing seals, pumps, and other parts of machinery.

Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and electrical in other areas within the production facility.

Repairs and maintains the physical structure of establishment and grounds.

Familiar with cutting torches and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.

Knowledgeable with Forklift repair and maintaining maintenance records and documentation.

Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct detailed work.

Must be able to work on your own and/or within a team of maintenance technicians.

Knowledge with purchasing parts needed for machinery and equipment.

Talented in troubleshooting industrial motors, starters, controls, pumps, hydraulics, and panels.

Background Profile

High school education or GED equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Proven managerial/supervisory experience is recommended

Injection Molding Experience Required

Minimum 3 years of injection mold machine experience or equivalent heavy machinery.

Must be able to train, motivate, and supervise a team of Maintenance technicians.

Must be able to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems.

Must have experience with preventative maintenance programs.
