Job Summary Responsible for the analysis of new commercial loan origination opportunities.

Assist front-line loan origination by reviewing potential transactions, analyzing markets, building loan analysis models, making recommendations, and drafting applications.

Assist other members of the production team in various preliminary and post-closing activities as needed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Review, analyze and recommend appropriate actions on potential commercial lending opportunities to front-line members of the production team.

* Communicate with and help manage business relationships with mortgage banking firms, borrowers, and other real estate professionals involved in loan investments.

* Draft written commercial mortgage loan recommendations that are necessary to obtain internal loan approvals.

* Draft loan applications and assist the front-line producers in the rate lock process on potential commercial loan opportunities.

* Assist in the analysis and execution of post-closing loan activities, including re-underwriting and servicing requests.

* Assist on other commercial mortgage projects as required.

* Act in compliance with team, company, and industry standards.

* Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field required.

* Zero to three years of life company lending or related real estate or lending experience.

* Both general and front-line knowledge of real estate finance, investments, law and economics.

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and general business software applications.

* Detailed oriented with focus on accuracy and efficiency.

* Ability to work independently or within a team.

* Ability to work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.

* Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) skills.

* Knowledge of Argus and other real estate analytical software applications preferred.

The compensation for this position falls within the following range: $55,000-$65,000.
