Lead the sourcing of business from government entities, ensuring alignment with national development objectives and legislative frameworks.

Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:

Develop and maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders across government, industry, and non-governmental organizations.

Utilize a deep understanding of the built environment to engage stakeholders from project inception to completion.

Represent DBSA in high-stakes negotiations and presentations, delivering compelling pitches that align with client and stakeholder needs.

Project Oversight and Management:

Oversee the project lifecycle, ensuring rigorous adherence to budget, scope, and timeline constraints.

Implement robust project management frameworks to handle complex, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.

Monitor and enhance the conversion rate of project proposals into secured contracts, ensuring profitability and sustainability.

Team Leadership and Development:

Lead a multidisciplinary team, setting clear goals and expectations, and fostering a culture of performance and accountability.

Encourage continuous learning and development, equipping the team with the necessary skills to meet the evolving demands of the infrastructure sector.

Qualifications and Experience:

Postgraduate degree in Built Environment, Commerce, Project Management, MBA, or a related field (preferable qualifications in development finance/economics).

At least 10-12 years of experience in a leadership role within the built environment, infrastructure development, or a related field, with proven expertise in managing large-scale projects.

Exceptional business development and sales skills, with a track record of achieving and exceeding strategic objectives and revenue targets.

Strong technical acumen in the built environment, capable of overseeing projects from cradle to grave.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building and sustaining senior-level relationships.

Strategic thinker with a robust understanding of policy, regulatory environments, and risk management.

Demonstrated ability to work at board level, influencing decision-making and strategic direction.
