Job Summary

The Treasury Associate will be responsible for the execution of the day-to-day running of our treasury functions, such as cash management operations, account receivables and payables for the business operations within the local market.

What you will be doing

Supports treasury and cash management operations to ensure operations doesn’t lack funds while liaising with the Finance Manager.

Prepare daily cash spreadsheet to ensure all finance transactions are recorded in general ledger daily.

Perform daily financial transactions such as verifying, calculating, and posting accounts receivable/payable data.

Preparing the monthly bank reconciliations.

Maintaining relationship with Banking partners, ensuring all bank mandates are up to date and that Sabi is conforming to all banking regulatory requirements, under the guidance of the Finance Manager and central Treasury Unit.

Undertake appropriate procedures and processes around month-end and quarter-close activity.

Ensuring that the PAYE, WHT and VAT are appropriately deducted and remitted.

Providing the necessary support for the statutory annual audit, regulatory audit, and tax audits by making relevant schedules and source documents available on time.

Performs other duties as directed.

Requirements

Special Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Management, Finance, Business, or a related field of study

5 years related Fintech, wallet and payment services experience.

ACCA or ICAN certification

Good analytical skills, high level of accuracy and attention to details.

Relevant Accounting certification will be an added advantage.

Have good Microsoft Excel skills and understanding of any accounting software.

Ability to work in a multicultural context/environment and demonstrate innovative practices.

Be an effective team player with a positive attitude.

Excellent mathematical, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare reports and policies.
