Staff Accountant

Overview and Essential Functions:

What you will do:

Prepares and records General Ledger transactions (journal entries)

General analysis and monthly reconcilement of GL accounts

Assists with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings

Maintains Fixed Assets

Assures all capital expenditure equipment are properly recorded in FAS/GL

Researches State and local laws for sales tax purposes

Assist with internal and external audit

General clerical duties, tasks, and special projects as required or assigned

Assist with maintaining Business and Contractor Licenses

Bank Reconciliations

Interact and assist with Field offices as needed

Qualifications:

Who we are looking for:

Degree in Accounting

Thorough knowledge of accounting theory, terminology, and practices

Detail oriented to ensure accuracy

Proficient with Microsoft Business Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook), with strong experience with accounting software

Good written and oral communication skills

Occasional travel
