The Strategic Brand Communications Specialist is dedicated to executing internal and external communications campaigns and marketing initiatives related to digital and brand marketing. This role is responsible for writing and editing a wide range of marketing materials, developing communications campaigns, and project management for internal and external programs.

Responsibilities:

Internal/System Communications: Coordinates, writes, and edits digital and brand marketing program materials with Wendy’s global network of 300+ franchisees and their employees, and Wendy’s Company employees as the audience; Oversees elements of internal digital and brand comms editorial calendar. Designs documentation that serves to inform and/or influence key stakeholders to advance all digital programming.

External Delivery Marketing: Supports delivery campaign creative development of national and local third-party and first-party delivery marketing programs, inclusive of creative evaluation and execution, recaps and overall program evaluation and future planning.

External Communications: Supports earned influencer execution; Supports external brand reputation and digital marketing communications strategy, including national/local press releases and various media interviews; Manages social media executive visibility for U.S. CMOs, and VP of Culinary Innovation.

Budget Management: Supports multi-million-dollar WNAP budget management for delivery marketing, PR and experiential agencies; processes invoices and meets with finance partners quarterly to discuss budget goals and tracking.

Minimum Wage:

USD $60,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Wage:

USD $80,000.00/Yr.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors Degree A bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field.

ExperienceOne to five years of communications or marketing experience.

Experience within the third-party delivery or digital marketing as an employee, supplier or consumer.

Writing and editing.

Project management

Creative evaluation

Paid, Earned and Owned Asset channel dynamic as consumer engagement and conversion vehicles

SkillsAbility to manage and coordinate complex projects independently, and as part of a cross-functional team.

Excellent written and oral communications skills.

Ability to write in multiple formats under time-sensitive deadlines.

Ability to take a complex concept and break it down into an easy-to-understand presentation or memo format.

Can read or write a creative brief and evaluate creative based on brief

KnowledgeUnderstanding of internal and external digital communication and social collaboration channels, trends, and applications.

Understanding of the franchisee/franchisor dynamic

Understanding of digital as a way of life; meeting consumers where they are to drive convenience and how that translates to increasing sales.

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. * The target annual bonus for this role is 7.5% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
