Scope:
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for receiving, storing and distributing material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
Must be proficient in all Forklift Operating SOP's for assigned Warehouse area
Utilize industrial power equipment to raise and lower materials to storage locations
Deliver materials from storage/staging locations to the specified department or shipping dock
Able to take on multiple tasks while executing daily operations safely and professionally
Demonstrates safety and conducts him/herself in accordance with all safety guidelines at all times; including accurate completion of all pre-shift equipment checks
Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery
Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles
Perform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank
Wrap and placard materials accurately and appropriately prior to moving them to a storage area
Weigh materials or products and record weight or other production data on tags or labels
Operate or tend automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machines
All other duties as assigned Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of experience in a Forklift Operator role
Must have ability to understand oral and written instructions in English
Must work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills
Forklift certification required
Must have successfully completed the Forklift I Matrices Sign-Off Sheets and approved by an Operations Manager. Physical Demands:
Must be able to physically perform the functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
Must be able to work extended hours, such as daily overtime and an occasional weekend
Must possess visual acuity to document company records
Must be able to wear steel toe shoes/boots
Lifting up to 50 pounds
