Provides secretarial support for Nursing Professional Development, assigned nursing leadership group, and general educational and performance improvement initiatives, displaying good judgment, professional behavior and knowledge of hospital policies. Maintains all material in a confidential manner. Works as a team member with other secretaries to support administrative needs of the Nursing Department. Completes responsibilities in a manner that exemplifies the Highland Promise Standards. The position requires strong secretarial skills, calendar management and computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, as well as a high degree of self-motivation and time management with excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, telephone, and follow-up skills with careful attention to detail.
PAY RANGE: $16.50-$21.39

Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: A.A.S. (preferably in Secretarial Science), or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 3 years secretarial experience; healthcare experience preferred but not required.
License/Certification Required: None
Skills: Computer proficient with strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word and Excel are required. An understanding of ANCC Magnet standards preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills with attention to detail and grammar are essential. Candidate must demonstrate efficiency in prioritizing assignments; skill in proactively resolving problems, recommending quality improvement, where needed. Self-starter with good customer service and interpersonal skills with great attention to detail and a “can-do” attitude.
