SDP6 Accessibility Developer

The Department of Management, Division of Information Technology (DoIT) is looking for a highly motivated .Net developer to join our Application Development (App Dev) team. This role is key to supporting the launch of a statewide initiative focused on increasing accessibility allowing all Iowans to more fully interact with public service websites.

The ideal candidate will:

demonstrate solid knowledge of WCAG guidelines.

perform manual and automated testing and document accessibility compliance

write reports describing accessibility issues and recommendations for resolving them

demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills, written communication skills, and presentation skills.

This role will be remote Monday thru Friday during standard business hours.

Required Skills:

C#, ASP.Net, MVC, CORE, Restful APIs 4 Years

Entity Framework or comparable ORM 4 Years

HTML/CSS, JavaScript or jQuery 4 Years

Azure DevOps, GIT GitHub Enterprise 2 Years

Automated unit testing 2 Years

Developing on an agile scrum team 2 Years

TSQL language skills working with MS SQL 2 Years

Bootstrap 4 or above 1 Years

TypeScript/Angular 6 or above 1 Years

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of WCAG guidelines 1 year

Experience with Accessibility Evaluation Tools 1 year

Experience with Assistive Technologies acrossmultiple platforms. Including Screen Readers, Magnification, and Read aloudtools (e.g., VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, ZoomText, Dragon Naturally Speaking) 1 year
