JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

As our services scale to tens of millions of Customers, our Quality Assurance Team is growing fast. The Quality Assurance Engineer works in a cross-functional Engineering team delivering one of our core services – OTT, eCommerce, Payments, Identity, Portals, CRM & Billing

Responsibilities

Create and own test strategy for assigned project ensuring an effective mapping between functional requirements and quality strategy

Lead and oversee/deliver test execution (integration, functional, regression, UAT) with good follow up ensuring on time completion of planned testing. Able to devise strategy to overcome risk/challenges that impede progress

Perform implementation of automated scripts, contribute to Astro’s automation frameworks for API, backend, web and mobile solutions

Devise quality metrics for the assigned project, including key Customer aspects and metrics of testing process

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications

2+ years’ experience with defining software quality for services/test lead role

2+ years’ experience with functional, regression, integration and white-box testing experience

Hands on experience with load test tools like JMeter and automation toolsets such as Selenium or Appium

Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and asynchronous architectures

Passion for developing new ideas and approaches, for demonstrable and sustainable continuous improvement

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, experienced with multi-cultural environments
