JOB SUMMARY:As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and organized Community Pharmacy Intern to join our team. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Community Pharmacy within a vibrant and collaborative work environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Validate the different components of a prescription (e.g., patient information, 2medication de-tails, prescriber information) and then recognize common types of invalid prescriptions and strategies to address them. The pharmacy intern must be able to assist the pharmacist in the following activities:

Interpret and process prescriptions and learn how to assist customers with over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and supplements.

Dispense prescription medications, including generic dispensing.

Completely or partially fill prescriptions as per regulations.

- Understand and formulate pharmacy pricing strategies and calculations and strategize efficient and effective pharmacy layout and design for customer experience.

Apply the policies and procedures for offering discounts to eligible customers (i.e., senior citizens and PWDs).

Draft strategies for implementing discounts and promotional offers.

Learn about product placement and organization to optimize sales and accessibility.

- Familiarize and utilize the company’s pharmacy software for prescription processing and inventory management and maintain patient profiles for personalized care.

Understand and apply fundamental principles of stock rotation, inventory tracking, and ordering processes.

Receive, verify, and process purchase orders from suppliers and distributors.

Manage product returns, recalls, and inventory reconciliation.

- Explore and apply the basics of compounding and preparation of specialized medications.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's in Pharmacy or related field.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
