Change Order Estimator Trainee

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

1. Reviews the possible change order provided/assigned by the Change Order Manager;

2. Produces initial Change Order Narrative based on reference files given by the Change Order Manager;

3. Produces Material Take Off based on the Narrative using Fabsuite or Miscellaneous Estimating Program (MEP);

4. Produces Initial Pricing and Material Take Off in MS Excel / Spreadsheet;

5. From time to time, will produce a final Narrative, Take Off and Pricing.

6. Performs other related tasks that may be assigned by the Change Order Manager.

Job Specifications:

· Education Requirements

A graduate of BS - Civil Engineering or BS - Architecture.

· Work Experience

Newly graduate; work experience in Estimating both in Miscellaneous and Structural items is a plus

· Knowledge and Skills

Must know how to read both structural and architectural plans; good knowledge on structural detailing, fabrication and erection process; familiar with shop items like Assemblies, Fittings, Paint/Finish, Welds, Buyouts, etc.; must have basic knowledge in detailing software like AutoCAD, 3D software like X-Steel, etc.; good knowledge in both MS Office Word and Excel.

· Traits

Willing to learn, able to work fast and accurate, can do multi-tasking if needed, a team player, good in writing is a plus, familiar with Estimating Software like Fabsuite is an advantage
