RESTAURANT OPERATIONS MANAGER
Job Brief
Restaurant operations managers are responsible for overseeing all aspects of their restaurant’s daily operations. They ensure that everything runs smoothly and efficiently, from the front-of-house service to the back-of-house cooking.
As a result, they must be able to juggle many different responsibilities at once. They may need to coordinate with vendors or suppliers about new products or services, manage payroll and other human resources issues, oversee marketing efforts, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities
A restaurant operations manager typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
· Monitoring restaurant operations to ensure compliance with food safety standards and industry regulations
· Training staff on appropriate customer service techniques for different scenarios, such as handling complaints about food or service quality
· Reviewing financial reports to identify ways to improve profitability
· Ensuring that all employees are aware of any upcoming events or promotions so they can be promoted through social media channels
· Reviewing menus with chefs to ensure food quality standards are being met
· Managing the scheduling of employees to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours without overstaffing during slow times
· Hiring and training new employees, as well as terminating workers who are consistently underperforming or disruptive
· Maintaining communication with vendors to ensure that food supplies are adequate and prices are competitive
· Establishing long-term business goals and objectives to improve the overall performance of the restaurant
Qualifications Requirement
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field, MBA is an asset
· 10- years operations experience
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel)
· Refined ability to delegate responsibilities and provide developmental trainings to key personnel
· Advanced written and verbal communication skills
· Possession of key competencies, including conflict management/problem solving, budgeting, business negotiation, planning, organizing and decision-making,
· Visionary and strategic thinking skills, Analytical thinking
· Willing to be assigned in BGC, Taguig and can start immediately.
