About the Job

We are looking for a driven and passionate individual who will be responsible for leading Chanel Malaysia & Vietnam sustainable mission by driving the development and management of market sustainability action plan.

This role will be focused in bringing positive impact and preparing the organisation for the future. Be the driver for solutioning, testing and integrating sustainability practices into market operations, driving the change of the culture and ways of working, through hands-on involvement with market stakeholders, in collaboration with regional experts.

Be the main driver to lead sustainability strategy and actions, partner closely with the various stakeholders to understand and translate sustainability goals into ways of working, policies, processes, and practices to support them into activation mode.

What Impact you can create at CHANEL

Work closely with market leadership team to lead the development of market sustainability strategy and action plan, with close alignment to global and regional roadmaps, policies, and postures.

Orchestrate the actions and interactions with key stakeholders, manage market projects, and follow up on all sustainability actions.

Orchestrate readiness and implementation on sustainability performance and reporting according to relevant global and sustainability reporting requirements. Ensure the organisation complies with all applicable requirements and identifies opportunities for proactive compliance in regulatory matters.

Lead market adoption of future global and regional sustainability performance management tool. Co-develop with regional team to incorporate market perspectives and its implementation.

Collaborate, influence, and support the stakeholders in implementation of sustainability action plans in the respective functions, and integrate into operations.

Promote a culture of sustainability within the organisation through education and knowledge building, drive sustainability initiatives and identify areas for collaboration and to build a shared commitment among the internal community with relevant partners.

Innovative approach to lead identification, pilot, and implementation of solutions to business operations and processes that further progress Chanel’s sustainability ambition.

What you will Bring

Exposure and experience on a wide spectrum of sustainability topics, ideally from retail, real estate, supply chain, or consulting industry.

Change management experience with strong understanding on strategies to influence behaviour and organization change.

Good interpersonal and communications skills and ability to work with a multicultural and matrix organisation with interactions with global and regional stakeholders. Able to facilitate conversations on topics involving various subject matter experts; progress discussions, derive insights and translate these into actionable steps.

Proactive, resourceful, and analytical, equipped with business and culture acumen, to connect and build partnerships with identified partners, industry associations, experts, and academia to identify opportunities which will aid in the ambition of sustainability.

Good knowledge of emerging sustainability trends to bring insights, capabilities, and advice to elevate the function.
