Chesapeake Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) is a well-established mental health practice in historic Reisterstown that has been operating for over 20 years. Our team-based approach to care provides inspired solutions for client’s needs. CBHC is looking for the right clinician to join our team. CBHC is looking for therapists who instill hope and value high-quality care while integrating evidence-based clinical interventions. We will help you build a career and develop skills working with people across the lifespan. Therapists are responsible for providing psychotherapy services, including, but not limited to, assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, individual therapy, and discharge planning. You will meet each client where they are and develop a treatment plan built on trust and safety.

Our practice is a hybrid of in-person and virtual teletherapy with clients from areas throughout Maryland. We are an inclusive environment with a supportive culture. If you love doing therapy and can work well independently and consult with an experienced group of providers as needed, this may be a great fit for you. Create your own schedule. Establish your caseload from the clients we provide for you. No on-call work is required. Let CBHC take care of credentialing you with insurance companies. Our practice accepts most private insurance as well as Medicaid and Medicare. Board-approved clinical supervision is available from one of the owners, Jennifer Elkins LCSW-C, who also provides additional assistance and training in various therapy modalities. Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct psychosocial assessments.

Develop and monitor treatment plans that provide therapy services relevant to the client’s needs relative to his/her age in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Ability to engage, build rapport, and provide insight-oriented therapy.

Complete clinical notes and other paperwork as required in a timely manner.

Maintain the accuracy of documentation and utilize integrity.

Maintain ongoing collaboration with the treatment team.

Assess risk factors of harm to self or others and provide crisis intervention.

Possess excellent organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks independently and work collaboratively when required.

Utilize the electronic health records system according to standard operating procedures.

Respect the confidentiality of clients and follow all HIPAA guidelines.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, bi-weekly staff meetings, and weekly supervision.

Maintain a positive outlook and contribute to the climate and culture of CBHC.

Qualifications/Education:

Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or counseling.

Licensure in Maryland as an LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, or LCPC.

Responsible, highly organized, reliable, with strong time management skills.

Able to pass mandatory Criminal and Child Abuse/Neglect Background Check.
