DEPARTMENT: NDT Department

POSITION ACCOUNTABLE TO: NDT Level III

POSITION TYPE: Full-time, hourly (Non-exempt)

JOB SUMMARY: The inspector shall be capable of performing Penetrant Inspection of production parts and carry out the required system performance checks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop Pen technique sheets

Evaluate indications against customers’ acceptance criteria

Work directly under a supervisor or Level 3 inspector

Provide constant support in other departments if needed

Accountable for good attendance and punctuality

Inform management of quality issues and problems in the department

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Ability to maintain a positive attitude in fast paced and demanding work environment

Team player attitude

Must pass a drug test and criminal background check

Must pass a physical/vision exam

Sufficient communication skills

Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Bilingual (English / Spanish)

Basic understanding of Lean skills and efficiency methods

Basic computer skills

Blueprint reading skills

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Level 2 Inspector Certification is a plus

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Must provide documented proof of Penetrant Testing (PT) Level 2 Inspector Certification in accordance with NAS 410 from a previous job, or proof of 400 on the job training hours and 32 hours formal classroom training certificate.Company Description
