Be part of a winning team. Mac-Tech is seeking qualified service technicians to join our growing first-class service department.
Applicants should have experience diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults on press brake machines. You will be responsible for providing first-class technical service, support, and installation services for our line of Press Brake machines. Strong computer knowledge and familiarity with service management software are a plus.
Responsibilities:
New product installations; including start-up, functional testing, and operator training
Observe equipment to accurately diagnose the malfunction and determine the need for adjustment or repair
Use electronic test equipment and/or mechanical measurement equipment to aid in timely and accurate diagnosis
Repair/Replace pneumatic components, electrical switches, and small motor controls. Replace fuses and lighting equipment
Troubleshoot and repair utilizing electrical schematics, parts lists, and mechanical drawings
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
Provide exceptional customer service while at customer locations
Log service activity in Service Management System along with expense and time tracking weekly
Support sales as necessary on product demonstrations
Communicate with the Service Manager to ensure customer expectations are met.
Requirements:
Previous industrial machine tool equipment experience troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles associated with machine tools.
5+ years of experience
Knowledge of electrical circuits and electronics, experience with Cybelec or delem controls preferred
Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and CAD/CAM experience a plus
Have knowledge of pneumatic systems, schematics, and components
Technical training or certificate in the related field is a plus
Must have the ability to handle diversified work assignments with independent thinking
Strong customer service skills
Valid driver’s license in good standing
Monday-Friday, occasional overtime, and some overnight travel
Technical School coursework in skilled trades preferred
