Essential Functions

Provide speech and language therapy across different settings

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance client outcomes

Engage in continuous professional development and training

Perform clinical evaluations based on acceptable standards of practice

Establish a plan of care with realistic, objective goals

Design and implement a treatment program with consideration of the client’s diagnosis and environment

Educate client and caregivers in appropriate therapeutic techniques to promote clinical outcomes

Supervise speech assistants and aides, as appropriate

Mentorship / CEU / Professional Growth

Ability to try new settings and/or patient populations

New graduates and/or therapists working in a new setting are paired with an experienced mentor

Access to an interdisciplinary network of experienced clinicians to help navigate novel situations (e.g. AAC, ATP, OT, PT, BCBA, etc.)

Tuition reimbursement to attend courses or participate in degree programs

CEU reimbursement

Opportunities for career advancement by becoming a mentor, being a Clinical Instructor, providing ESMA staff training, etc.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved master’s level program in speech & language pathology

Valid/current professional license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Massachusetts

Massachusetts DESE Educator License (or in process)

Ability to travel to/between multiple work locations

Must pass extensive background checks and provide professional references

If selected for hire, candidates must be able to provide a recent physical indicating the ability to perform the essential functions of the job either with or without accommodations, proof of negative TB test, and required immunizations (including fully-vaccinated status for Covid-19).
