Key missions of the position:

New products Design, Development, Validation and Documentation

Main responsibilities:

Design feasibility Analysis

Develop 3D / 2D concepts

Adherence to Product Development Cycle

Manage Product level requirements and compliances

Conduct Design Reviews

Prepare DFMECA

Collaborate with RAMS team for FTA, Safety, Reliability and LCC assessments

Prepare Validation Plan, Specifications and Reports

Understanding of Design principles and Standardization

Continuous Improvements to improve product reliability and reduce LCC

Ensure compliance to global standards and applications

Able to study, interpret and prepare detailed pneumatic schemes

Able to understand electrical schemes

Able to perform hand calculations

Own and manage Design deliverables with First Time Right approach and ensure OTD

Travelling to Field for Installation, Testing, Commissioning and Troubleshooting activities

Establish Communication with global product teams

Innovation and Creative thinking

Knowledge on DFM, DFA, DFSS

Possess strong presentation and communication skills

Education/Training

B.E in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics

Professional Experience

8 – 12 years in Rail industry

Prior knowledge in Pneumatic / Hydraulic Brake System would be an added advantage

CATIA V5 Proficient in Solid and Surface Modelling (3D)

AUTOCAD Proficient in Drafting (3D)

Fluid Control Symbols and Schematics Proficient

MS Office tools Proficient

Languages

Fluency in English

Should sit and work in Hosur campus and report to the Manager in Hosur.

Should be flexible enough to accommodate tasks.
