POSITION: Men’s Locker Room Attendant, Part-Time

(Saturday afternoon, Sunday and Monday - approximately 25 hours per week)

DEPARTMENT: Golf Operations

REPORTS TO: Director of Golf

EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Non- Exempt

PURPOSE:

Men’s Locker Room Attendant ensures the cleanliness and proper presentation of men’s locker room for members and their guests. Locker Room Attendant must possess the ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain excellent service standards with members and their guests. They must have excellent listening skills and an eagerness to provide excellent service. This person must be flexible in meeting the varying scheduling needs of the Club and may be required to work additional hours than scheduled, if necessary.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

To arrive well-groomed and on-time and dressed in the appropriate uniform.

Keep all areas of the locker room clean and organized.

Make coffee and stock beverage station.

Provide shoe-shining services.

Collect and wash soiled lined in laundry room.

Responsible for keep toilet/ shower areas clean between housekeeping

Maintain inventory of towels, toiletries, locker room and cleaning supplies.

Vacuums floor surfaces in men’s & ladies locker room.

Assist with banquet setup/reset.

Remove stains as needed from upholstered chairs.

Lockers (wood) dusted and polished.

Maintain updated list of lockers.

Must treat all Members, Guests, and Staff Members with respect.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Capable of working extended hours, to include weekends and holidays as necessary.

Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed.

Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities.

Position involves kneeling, stooping, bending, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs. This can occur throughout the day.

Ability to stand for long periods of time, bending, reaching, and the ability to carry trays of food weighing 25-50 pounds at times is required.

Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.

Must be able to transport oneself throughout the property.

Must have sufficient mathematical skills to accommodate cashier functions.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes and delays. Must be able to remain focused and work effectively, efficiently and cheerfully under such circumstances.

Must be able to work effectively and cheerfully in an environment which may be stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the proper performance of duties.

This position will alternate between working indoors in a controlled climate and with proper lighting to an outdoors setting with variable climate and lighting.

Must be able to adapt to the climate with marked changes in temperature from the heat in the kitchen area to the cold of refrigerated areas.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school graduate or equivalent preferred and one to three years related experience and/or training in fine dining atmosphere; and working knowledge of wine, spirits and food; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a must.

Image must be professional and well-suited to a high volume, service activity.

PAY: Salary is open and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
