Salary: 50k

West Georgia Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Primary Therapist at our residential mental health and substance abuse treatment facility located in Hiram, Georgia! This facility is looking to fill a position for a full-time (40 hours per week) therapist to provide counseling and support to individuals who are seeking assistance with various mental health and/or substance abuse issues. As a Therapist at West Georgia Wellness Center, you will provide direct services in the areas of individual therapy, group facilitation, complete necessary assessments, facilitate crisis intervention and on-going therapy to clients in our care. Therapeutic services provided are designed to meet the specific needs of the client and all services are provided in an office setting. Services are provided with an individualized client-centered approach and are delivered through intensive, time-limited, goal specific interventions. Applicants are required to document appropriate clinical information in medical record in a timely manner through our designated EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system.

Required Education / Experience:

- Licensed or Pre-Licensure as APC, LAPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, MFT, or LMFT in the state of Georgia

- At least 21 years of age

- Demonstrate interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

- Demonstrate planning, conceptual, problem solving and analytical skills

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

- Conduct individual, group and family therapy sessions

- Assess clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans according to the client specific needs

- Provide counseling and support to individuals struggling with chemical dependency, mental health, and/or co-occurring disorders

- Assist clients in developing coping strategies and improving their overall mental health

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment plans

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients

- Documentation through EMR System

- Crisis Intervention

- Usage of an array of treatment modalities

- Discharge Planning

- Continued Education as it applies to Licensing and Certifications

Experience:

- A minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health counseling or a related field

- Expertise in addiction counseling, mental health counseling, direct support, patient care, and cultural competency.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients

- Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and interventions

- Familiarity with ethical guidelines and legal requirements in the field of therapy
