Kosher Chef

Private family looking to hire a professional Chef who is familiar with Kosher kitchens in Upper West Side - New York City! (Summer months will be spent in the Hamptons) This individual must be able to travel with the family and work all Jewish holidays. This position is live out but if individual needs an apartment and/or car for work purposes, it is available. Experience cooking full dinners for large parties (20-25 people) is a must! (Family doesn't eat Jewish food (gefilte fish, etc) but they keep Kosher and follow the laws.

The Ideal Candidate: Looking for a long term chef who is familiar with health and wellness and nutrition. The family wants someone who is creative to make healthy foods from scratch. Someone who posses the capabilities of planning to ensure all ingredients are in the home before Shabbos and can create the different parts of the meal ahead of time.

What Works Best for Family: Someone who is very organized, detailed, and professional. Someone who is kid friendly, has a flexible lifestyle to travel when needed and is flexible.

Requested Duration: As long as possible - their current chef has been with the family for 10 years

Position Requirements

Work Hours: Summer- Wednesday-Sunday Winter- Tuesday-Saturday

Languages: English, Spanish is a bonus.

Experience: 5 Years of Experience

References: Minimum of 2 References

Background: Pass stringent background checks and drug testing upon offer of hire

Position Compensation

Salary: $150,000 per year depending on experience

Living Accommodations: Live Out or apartment provided if needed

Vacation: 2 weeks- must be taken when family is away
