Through the creation and usage of complex data analytics and modelling, the Strategic Insights Manager is responsible for the development of high impact customer insights related to customer behaviours across the Retail vertical. Based on these insights and in collaboration with Qantas Loyalty stakeholders, this role is responsible for the identification of opportunities to increase customer/acquisition/engagement/profitability within the Retail vertical.

This role will work closely with senior Qantas Loyalty management and the Head of Strategic Insights to form recommendations (based on deep customer insights) on key strategic issues such as Retail proposition and strategy, and group-wide initiatives that impact Qantas frequent flyer members.

You’ll have:

5+ years in Insights, Analytics led roles

Degree-level qualifications, with preference for degrees in applied statistics or a related analytical field

Previous experience in turning raw data into actionable, value-adding insights and recommendations, with a proven track record of success

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to overlay commercial acumen to developed insights and recommendations

Extensive experience in extracting and manipulating large volume data with SQL, with direct experience with the Teradata platform preferred

Prior experience in using Tableau desired

Prior experience in using Google 360 and/or Adobe Analytics

Proven ability to communicate insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, both in verbal and written formats

Strong capability of managing and prioritising a number of competing tasks for different stakeholders
