As the Group Portfolio Delivery Manager, you will be responsible to influence senior management and work with business leaders and functional teams across the group in delivering this strategy and achieving the ambitious growth targets by leading initiative prioritisation and trade-off discussions amongst senior leaders ensuring outcomes are understood, coordinated and actioned, as well as owning and continuously improving strategically important artefacts (governance tools) and meetings to ensure the Group’s ways-of-working optimise growth and achieve financial targets.

The Group Portfolio Delivery Manager is accountable for the identification of engagement opportunities with key stakeholders across the Qantas Group, develop departmental transformation roadmaps, influence commercial decisions and effectively implementing an executive decision support framework considerate of capital, resource allocation to mobilise and accelerate key initiatives driving towards the Qantas Group strategy as well as designing and facilitating effective ceremonies (meetings) to effectively manage the realisation of benefits.

You will be responsible for the development of solution options, delivery plans and the management of complex systems, people, and process interdependencies for strategic programs of work. The position manages teams in the end-to-end planning, delivery and release of initiatives for multiple cross functional teams. This position will report into the Head of Group Value Optimisation & Transformation Delivery and will be responsible for managing the Strategic Integrated Plan and Roadmap across the Group.

You’ll have –

5+years’ end-to-end delivery experience

5+years’ experience in an agile environment

3+years’ experience as an Agile Delivery Manager or Agile Project Manager leading multiple cross functional teams

Extensive management experience ideally in a growth-focused digital and data-driven environment

Expert stakeholder management skills, assertive communication skills, and strong influencing and problem-solving skills

An organised and process-orientated capability with confidence to quickly identify key issues, structure a project plan and develop strategic options

Industry experience in a strategy or portfolio management type role with a customer focused, member and partner mindset

Strategy or management consulting experience

Involvement in new business development and implementation

Extensive workshop planning and facilitation skills

A structured and lateral thinking style with the capability to quickly understand and apply new concepts

The ability to work in and contribute to a high performing, collaborative and fun team environment

Resourceful and highly organised with proven ability to prioritise conflicting tasks in order to meet strict deadlines

Experience in guiding and coaching multiple teams in the adoption of the Agile mind-sets, behaviours, and best practices to facilitate their transition to high performing teams

Experience in effectively managing and communicating complex risks, issues and dependencies

Ability to create effective team environments for people to innovate and learn

Excellent stakeholder management skills across both business and technical functions up to and including C-level executives

Proficient in multiple agile frameworks at scale (SAFE,LESSetc.)

Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master(PSM) or other agile certifications
