This full-time position is for a Front Office Medical Assistant for our Cardiology in Tampa. This role is responsible for assisting providers and managing clinic functions within the department. Must be organized, good team player and possess superior customer service skills. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. **1 year experience in Cardiology preferred but not required.** **Customer service experience required**

Keys to Success in this Role:
Prepare e-charts prior to visit
Assist traffic at front window
Complete check in processes
Properly room patients
Assist provider during examination and treatment
Perform incidental duties as needed
Physical and Mental Demands:
Ability to maintain quality control standards.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
Ability to communicate clearly.
Ability to Type 40 W.P.M to work with Electronic Medical Record software.
Occasionally required to life and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds.
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Occupational Exposure:
Low risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards
Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
Strong team player
Excellent telephone etiquette
Strong customer service orientation required
Basic computer proficiency
1 year experience in Cardiology preferred but not required
