Dean’s Professional Services is now hiring for a qualified,Patient Reception Specialistto work in Stone Mountain, GA for a large Healthcare Organization.

ThePatient Reception Specialistis responsible for providing assistance to patients on the telephone and at the front desk, and processing all receipts.

Job Responsibilities:

Manages large volumes of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner: always identifying self and clinic.

Provides assistance to patient and other contacting the clinic by telephone; may provide direct assistance or take messages and direct calls to the appropriate party.

Processes patient payments over the phone.

Verifies pharmacy information and other clinical information related to a patient’s visit.

Manually reminds patients of appointments when the automatic call reminder system is unable to do so.

Answering and redirecting calls appropriately

Collect demographic information

Collect insurance information

Verify insurance eligibility

Schedule, cancel and/or reschedule appointments

Send messages to the appropriate provider/staff

Professional, dependable, reliable and has great customer service

Job Requirements:

MUST be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

H.S. Diploma or GED- Required

Adept in medical terminology and insurance practices

Proficient in the use of computer programs and applications including Outlook applications and practice EMR systems

Competent in basic arithmetic to make calculations, balance and reconcile figures, and make changes accurately

Knowledgeable of CPT and ICD-10 coding

Current BLS certification for healthcare providers preferred

Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care, or ER preferred

Job Details:

Schedule: M-F 8:00am-5pm, after training 11:30-7pm, 2-3 times per week

Starting at: $18/hr. (Based on experience) + benefits
