TRUCK TECHNICIAN

Job Summary:

Responsible for overall completion and satisfaction of repairs completed at the dealership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Complete basic to complex repairs without immediate supervision

Will perform repairs not limited to: heavy and medium duty engine work, preventative maintenance, drive train, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues using Cummins Insite, Premium Tech Tool, JPRO, Service Link, Diagnostic Link, or similar systems.

Help maintain cleanliness and order in work area.

Responsible for reading shop manuals and using tools efficiently.

Responsible for keeping current with changes in technology utilizing company dealership training, video library and written materials.

Make suggestions and share ideas with the service manager to move the company forward and grow the department.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED Industry experience and/or formal training is requested. Own or purchase a basic set of tools and lockable toolbox is preferred. Be a team player while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced work environment; with ability to read, comprehend instructions, take direction and complete tasks as assigned.
