What you will do

Let’s do this! Let’s change the world! In this vital role reporting to the Director, Talent and Development, the Senior Manager will be an organizational development and learning professional who can enhance the impact of leaders and teams in support of Amgen’s business strategy. You will work with cross-functional teams and leaders in these key areas:

Team & Leader Effectiveness

Team & Leader Effectiveness: Conduct needs analyses, design and facilitate solutions, recommend self-service tools and coach on their use, if needed.

Organizational Development: Work with HR Business Partners and the business to identify and onboard external consultants who can deliver solutions aligned with Talent best practices.

Assessment and Evaluation: Identify when team and/or leader assessments are advisable and facilitate assessment deployment, review, and action planning.

Resource Management: Maintain a prioritized set of templates and tools that can be tailored and leveraged for self-service use. Manage a roster of external consultants and vendors who can support the business with organizational, team, and leader needs.

Talent & Development Team Member

Be knowledgeable about and leverage Talent programs, platforms, and resources to address business needs and enhance individual and team performance.

Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of Talent programs and Team & Leader Effectiveness interventions.

When learning needs are identified, work with the business to curate a solution from existing resources or support development of targeted new offerings.

Communicate to Talent, HR, and cross-functional Learning & Performance stakeholders to ensure best practices are identified and shared.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree & 2 years of Human Resources experience

Or

Master’s degree & 4 years of Human Resources experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree & 6 years of Human Resources experience

Or

Associate’s degree & 10 years of Human Resources experience

Or

High school diploma / GED & 12 years of Human Resources experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Organizational Development: Has designed and delivered leadership and team effectiveness solutions to or within organizations; and has worked with external consultants and vendors.

Knowledge of Organizational Behavior and Change Management: Knowhow in organizational behavior, group dynamics, strategic planning, change management, and organization design.

Experience in Performance Consulting and Needs Analysis: Has conducted needs analyses to identify performance opportunities and solutions for organizational, team, and leader effectiveness.

Experience in Facilitation and Coaching: Has confidently facilitated leadership programs and executive team effectiveness events; and has provided individual coaching and feedback to business clients.

Certification in Assessment Methods: Certified in behavioral and team assessment methods, such as Insights Discovery, TCI, or Hogan.

Collaborative and Self-directed Work Style: Demonstrated skill in collaboration with the ability to solicit input, influence without authority, and support decision making, as well as be self-directed and willing to take informed risks.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
