Job Purpose: The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for conducting cycle counts and bin location audits, assisting in researching and reconciling inventory discrepancies and working with the Inventory Supervisor/Manager in any inventory related functions concerned with inventorying materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom, warehouse, or yard.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs physical counts of inventory items in order to maintain accurate inventory.

Counts and reconciles randomly chosen or chosen part numbers and/or locations on a daily basis.

Accurately inputs inventory control data to ensure inventory integrity.

Completes necessary documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on-time.

Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.

Use of motorized equipment including: Order Picker, Sit-Down Forklift, Stand-Up Reach Truck

Other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager. Additional Responsibilities:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ensures compliance to inventory processes and procedures, and contractual obligations.

Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.

Utilize computer terminal to properly account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation. Qualifications:

Minimum 1-3 months related experience and/or training in Inventory Control.

Minimum 1-3 months related experience and/or training in warehouse environment.

Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift.

Experience using WMS software a plus (Synapse preferred).

PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Database. Education and/or Experience Required:

High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to read and write emails.

Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.

Forklift certification a plus.
