Domestic Automobile Parts Counterperson

Job Description

Job Summary:

Valenti Ford is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Domestic Automobile Parts Counterperson to join our team in Mystic, Connecticut. As a full-time member of our dynamic and fast-paced company, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining inventory and accurately fulfilling orders for automotive parts. This is an individual contributor role with a competitive base hourly pay plus commission in the auto industry.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary of $45,000 to $50,000 per year

• Paid weekly

• Full-time employment with benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement options

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and assist with their automotive part needs

• Use dealership software to accurately locate and order parts

• Maintain inventory of parts and regularly check for quality and accuracy

• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to fulfill orders

• Process transactions and handle cash, credit, and check payments

• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns

• Keep updated with new parts and stay informed about current automotive industry trends

• Clean and organize parts department to ensure an efficient and customer-friendly environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail or dealership automotive parts counter sales

• Proficient in using dealership software and other computer programs for parts lookup and inventory management

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment

• Physically able to lift and move heavy parts and stand for long periods of time

• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record

CDK Experience preferred

Ford Parts Experience preferred
