Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year

Job Details

We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Tax Supervisor to join our thriving team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all tax-related activities within our organization. This includes tax planning, compliance, and advisory services. The role requires a high degree of accuracy and a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing tax operations and delivering sound tax strategies that comply with laws and promote our company’s financial well-being.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

2. Conduct detailed tax research and planning to minimize tax liabilities and ensure that all tax-related decisions and actions adhere to applicable laws and regulations.

3. Provide expert tax advice and consultancy services to the management team, assisting in strategic planning and business decisions.

4. Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and ensure that the company's tax accounting and procedures align with these changes.

5. Lead tax audits and respond to tax notices, liaising with tax authorities as needed.

6. Manage and develop the tax team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively carry out their roles.

7. Collaborate with other departments to provide tax advice and identify tax-related risks and opportunities.

8. Develop and implement effective tax strategies that align with the company's business goals.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is required.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax advisory, tax planning, tax returns, tax research, tax preparation, tax compliance, tax accounting, and corporate tax.

3. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes, regulations, and procedures.

4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.

5. Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.

6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax information clearly.

7. Proficiency in tax software and accounting systems.

8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.

9. High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
