Job Description:

Responsible for implementation of Lean manufacturing goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization. Evaluates all continuous improvements activities and implements to optimize performance and processes. Employs Lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Implements Lean manufacturing concepts, techniques, strategies, and processes within a specific location to reduce times within the manufacturing systems as well as response times from suppliers and to customers.

Promotes a culture of continuous improvement to maximize productivity while minimizing waste within a manufacturing operation.

Evaluates continuous improvement activities to optimize performance and processes.

Documents deviation events. Coaches and provides oversight on manufacturing operations to identity potential issues before they arise and prevent deviations.

Ensures team understands Lean manufacturing concepts to achieve the company’s goals of improved efficiency, reduced waste, and increased product quality.

Guides others to resolve complex issues using established best practices, methodologies, and solutions.

Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve business objectives.

Manages and maintains safety observances, ensuring guards and safety features are working, and promoting good daily safety practices and habits.

Maintain close connection and contact with other departments.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Typically possesses Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 8+ years of relevant experience.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required.

Knowledge and Skills

Possesses understanding of automated industrial machinery and electrical systems.

Possesses experience with complex troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.

Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.

Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and to prioritize activities according to importance.

Demonstrates ability to read diagrams, manuals, and measurement tools.

Knowledge of the plant's operation.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and any other relevant software.

Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required.
