RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must be able to perform changeover and set-up of packaging machines as well as troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical systems and make appropriate repairs to machines.

Responsible for performing daily preventative maintenance on plant equipment such as packaging equipment, conveyors and compressors.

Assist on equipment installations within the plant structure. Complete work orders to repair machinery.

Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.

Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.

Set up full line configurations of multiple pieces of equipment, independently.

Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to the proper supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED.

2+ years of experience as a Packaging Mechanic within a Pharmaceutical or Food Manufacturing environment.
