Job Title: Speech and Language Pathologist
Supervisor: Director of Special Education
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:45pm Duration: 11 months
Salary: Is commensurate with the candidate's years of relevant experience
Description: The Speech/Language Pathologist is responsible for providing services and accommodations to students, including inclusion and small-group support to students.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Provide small group and/or individual speech and language therapy for identified students in grades K-12 with communication, auditory, or language processing disorders.
Maintain records on the initial evaluation, progress, and discharge of students to identify problems, track progress, and justify treatment.
Develop an individualized plan of care for each student. Provide present levels of speech and language functioning and speech and language goals and objectives for students’ IEPs.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, special educators, audiologists, and families to develop and implement individual or group programs and support classroom activities.
Use qualitative and quantitative assessment methods, including screenings,
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Licensed by Massachusetts Board of Registration for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology
Successful completion of school speech language pathology assistant training or equivalent
Experience in school based practice preferred
