Exciting Opportunity: Plant Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Cultivate a Service-Driven Culture: Inspire and motivate your team to deliver top-notch service.

Engage with Sales and Customers: Build strong relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.

Drive Performance: Manage P&L, budgets, and set clear expectations for plant operations.

Team Development: Create training and development plans, and foster a motivated, skilled workforce.

Problem-Solving: Use a team-oriented approach to tackle challenges and implement improvements.

Inventory Management: Oversee ordering practices and maintain accurate inventory levels.

Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity using "Lean" concepts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with corporate managers and support staff to achieve company goals.

Safety and Environmental Compliance: Manage safety programs and ensure compliance with all regulations.

Career Development: Conduct performance appraisals and career planning discussions with direct reports.

Specific Duties:

Develop and manage training plans for staff.

Set and measure key performance metrics.

Host and participate in Kaizen events.

Plan and manage production forecasts.

Collaborate with the sales team to align market expectations with internal improvements.

Ensure on-time shipments and reduce finished goods inventory.

Optimize raw material consumption and manage vendor relationships for cost savings.

Oversee quality control and warranty-related actions.

Implement internal standards based on company and customer needs.

What We’re Looking For:

Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead and inspire a team.

Analytical Abilities: Excellent problem-solving and data analysis skills.

Experience: 5+ years in planning and forecasting, with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with AS400.

Team Building: Proven project management and team-building expertise.

Travel: Willingness to travel (20%).

Communication: Ability to gather data, compile reports, and communicate effectively.
