CNC Setup Operators - 1st shift & 2nd shift

Position: CNC Setup Operator

Location: [Your Company Location]

Shift/Hours:

1st Shift: 5 AM - 3:30 PM (Mon - Thur) + OT

2nd Shift: 3:15 PM - 1:45 AM (Mon - Thur) + OT

We are primarily seeking candidates for the 2nd shift, but will consider exceptional candidates for the 1st shift.

Pay Rate: $25/hr range + BOE

Length of Assignment: Temp-to-hire

What You’ll Do:

Must have set up Haas Vertical Machining Centers using MasterCam to load existing programs

Load or create new fixtures for workpiece holding

Set tool offsets and work offsets, and make adjustments after 1st piece inspection

Operate Mazak Vertical Machining Centers, Haas Super Mini Mills, and Haas Gantry machines

Perform close tolerance work and inspections using mics and calipers

Work from blueprints to achieve precise results

Spend significant time setting up machines in a job-shop environment, specializing in machining plastics, aluminum, copper, brass, and other non-ferrous metals

What We’re Looking For:

Proficiency in CNC setup operations, especially with Haas and Mazak machines

Ability to work from blueprints and perform close tolerance work

Experience with MasterCam for loading programs

Strong inspection skills using micrometers and calipers

Fluency in English

Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality
