Job Description

If so, then join our team as an IT Business Analyst, Financial Systems and become the bridge between business vision and IT execution. This dynamic role requires cross-functional work to improve our systems and processes in an agile environment, bridging the gap between business and technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

Conducts business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analyses to align information technology solutions with business initiatives.

Performs data validation and data migration activities for large migrations due to system conversions or growth activities.

Designs new technology solutions by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, and writing specifications.

Develop features and requirements from stakeholders into a fully formed project or feature vision that describes the project's needs, features, constraints, and scope.

Understands the process workflow and considers the implication of process changes to the current and future business environment. Uses an understanding of accounting issues and challenges to implement successful processes and policy updates.

Writes and maintains business requirements, functional specifications, and test plans.

Serves as a liaison between Accounting, IT Support, Infrastructure, Application Support, and Developers for system modifications, enhancements, and implementations.

Collaborates closely with SaaS providers and Solutions Architects to analyze business projects and change requests supporting various enterprise financial applications.

Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions using a help desk system that eliminates manual processes by automating support requests.

Identifies improvement opportunities and experiments with different approaches to improve processes and situations while staying within the accepted accounting framework.

Maintains SOP and FAQ documentation for major systems in Confluence and Sharepoint. Train and inform all levels of support on this documentation.

Collaborates with Product and Project Managers in an agile environment to meet project deadlines.

Facilitates deployments and automates test procedures in both QA and production environments.

Serves as subject matter expert in Tricon's financial systems.

Collaborates with Application Support and Solutions Architect teams to identify and resolve production issues. At the same time, provide valuable feedback on application improvements.

Monitors/follow up with Agile Scrum team Product Managers on backlog item status.

Participates in testing and de-bugging during pre-deployment and post-deployment stages.

Author and distribute release notes post-release.

Compile tasks and estimates and provide reporting of projects to stakeholders.

Serve as liaison for IT audit activities, documenting processes and policies as required, working with auditors and other vendors to remediate areas of risk.

Monitor and evaluate change control process related to version upgrades and enhancements to report on success and areas for improvement. Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of accounting practices and systems (Yardi strongly preferred)

Analytical, highly organized, and great attention to detail

Proven experience in gathering requirements, testing, and deploying large projects on time and budget

Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools

Experienced and knowledgeable with real estate ERP systems, Yardi strongly preferred

Experience reading and writing SQL queries and reports

Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal

Accounting-minded IT professional who is passionate about technology, innovation, and servant leadership

Collaborative and team-oriented mindset

Capable of managing multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines

The ideal candidate has an understanding of:

Agile and Scrum ideologies and frameworks

Project Management tools like Confluence and Jira

Real estate, REITs, and/or the accounting life cycle Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or Industry certifications and equivalent related work experience of 5 years or more in place of Degree

Minimum four (4) years experience in Technical Accounting, IT Business Analysis, Applications Support, or QA testing (required)

Good understanding of project and time management principles

Salary Range

Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.

$60,790.00 - $101,310.00
