Position Overview:

The Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) is a pivotal member of our healthcare team, providing essential individual, family, and couple therapy sessions. This role, guided by the standards of the American Psychological Association (APA) and relevant state boards, works under the supervision of a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and is integral to delivering high-quality care and services. The ACSW is expected to maintain a caseload of 35 client appointments scheduled weekly, with a billable expectation of completing 25 sessions per week.

Responsibilities:

Client Interaction & Therapy Sessions: Schedule and conduct daily client sessions (individual, couples, and family therapy), maintaining a balance between productivity and quality of care.

Assessment & Treatment Planning: Perform comprehensive client assessments, crisis interventions, safety planning, and develop and review individualized treatment plans.

Documentation & Reporting: Manage and ensure timely and accurate documentation of client encounters, including progress notes and treatment plans. Conduct daily audits of client records.

Supervision & Professional Development: Participate in regular supervision sessions (individual, triad, or group), maintain up-to-date professional documentation (BBS documentation), and engage in ongoing learning and development through Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Administrative Duties: Efficiently handle administrative responsibilities, including time management for client communications, documentation, and personal breaks. Prepare nightly reports detailing client interactions and productivity metrics.

License & Certification Maintenance: Stay compliant with professional standards by renewing associate license, association membership, liability insurance, and completing necessary CEUs for license renewal.

Clinical Support: Provide psychoeducation, resource guidance, and manage client discharges. Support clients in various treatment settings, including group lectures, one-on-one sessions, intakes, and utilization reviews.

Team Collaboration & Advocacy: Participate in Treatment Team and staff meetings, act as an advocate for residents, coordinate required services, and manage crisis situations.

Ethical & Professional Standards Compliance: Adhere to ethical codes and standards set by APA and other relevant bodies. Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries in all interactions. Requirements

Competencies and Abilities:

Skill in developing collaborative treatment plans and conducting relevant screenings/assessments.

Ability to work effectively under supervision, receptive to feedback and guidance.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain professional relationships.

Proficient in administering clinical assessments and providing adequate diagnosis Qualifications:

Registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an ACSW.

Passed the annual BBS Law and Ethics Exam.

Must Pass Federal and State background checks to work with adolescents upon hire.

Maintain required CEUs for annual registration renewal. Knowledge:

Understanding of community resources, referral techniques, and various counseling methodologies.

Experience in running process groups, educational sessions, and individual/family/couples sessions.

Understanding of mental health treatment and signs and symptoms of substance abuse. Skills:

Strong communication skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and in emergency situations.

Team collaboration and effective interaction with supervisors.
