Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and analytical Finance Planning and Analysis professional to join our team at La Senza. As an FP&A Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial planning and decision-making processes of our retail business. You will collaborate with various departments, including Finance, Operations, Sales, and Marketing, to provide strategic insights, financial forecasts, and performance analysis.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Support the Brand General Manager, Finance & Accounting team, and several cross-functional teams in the areas of forecasting, budgeting, and process improvement.

Build financial models, weekly and trend reporting, and ad hoc requests in an accurate and timely manner

Research issues and recommend course correcting actions.

Analyze financial results; report and explain variances to forecast by using various resources.

Prepare and review financial reporting and advise management of key drivers.

Design, develop, and implement forward-looking financial models, key performance indicators, new business scenarios and ad hoc analyses to further support improved financial performance.

Provide support to finance and cross-functional teams in the form of collaborating, reporting, planning, analyzing, and tracking results and ownership of specific key drivers.

Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with various levels of management.

Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in quality and continuous improvement; evaluate processes and drive efficiencies using critical-thinking skills.

Lead the annual and long-range planning processes.

Support the Company’s 13-week and long-range Cash Flow Forecasting models, and collaborate with partners to create and execute vendor payment plans.

Create process documentation for ongoing support and training; coach others in new processes.

Produce reports and ad hoc analyses for senior management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or mathematics preferred.

Three plus years of financial experience.

Experience in retail environment a plus.

Strong ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and other departments.

Ability to model complex business questions/issues.

Strong analytical, quantitative, and creative problem-solving skills.

Must be organized, detail oriented, and possess time management skills.

Demonstrated initiative and drive to achieve results.

Strong oral and written presentation skills.

Advanced PC skills including Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Power BI and SQL experience a plus.
