JOB SUMMARY

The primary responsibilities of the Senior/Lead PHP Developer will be to design and construct web-based applications including incorporating graphical user interface (GUI) features.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• Design and Implement three tiered applications on intranet and Internet.

• Ability to develop and consume REST API

• Ability to develop and maintain SOAP API

• Work with product owner to develop and enhance customer facing web applications

• BY involved in the entire product lifecycle including the design, development, deployment and maintenance of new and existing features.

• In depth knowledge and experience of object-oriented analysis and design using common PHP frameworks.

• Produce detailed specifications for the products developed or for new features added.

• Familiarity with source control (Subversion, git), bug tracking systems (JIRA), build and dependency management systems, continuous integration, packaging and deployment

• Experience in software development based on common agile application development methodologies, TDD/BDD/Scrum/Kanban

• Develop large and complex modules and components of larger system designs

• Actively participate in quality assurance activities including design and code reviews, unit testing, defect fixes, operational readiness

• Develop and conduct targeted technical mentoring, training and workshops

• ZEND (Zend Framework 2) experience required.

• Good experience in PHP7.

• Knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and Secure Web Application programming techniques

• HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap (responsive UI), JQuery experience required

• Designs digitized images, banners, bullets, charts, image maps and other graphics to enhance appearance of site

• Assists in solving operating problems with site

• Reads manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn ways to develop programs

• Manages version control s/w including test to production promotion model

• Designs and implements new databases

Performs other tasks as needed for successful project completion

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years' experience; education and experience may be combined to satisfy experience requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, and/or equivalent work experience

• Knowledge the field of computer science along with advanced knowledge of various web-enabling computer languages

• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipeline a must

• Project management experience a plus

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business related software

• Must be able to recognize, anticipate and resolve problems

• Understand Internet/Intranet standards and cross-browser compatibility

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Science Degree, Computer Science or IT-related field or equivalent work experience.
