Mental Health Specialist - Psych

Beds: 70 combined between 2 units (2nd and 3rd fl)

Patient Types: Adult behavioral health; 18 years and above, involuntary

Mandatory Skills: Behavioral Health experience; general patient care; charting

Required Certifications:

CNA or NAR

BLS

De-escalation certificate (CPI or MOAB)

Must obtain a Food Handlers Permit ($10 online class) prior to start date

Need to obtain AACR within first 60 days unless higher credential is held.

Minimum Experience: 1 year inpatient mental health or medical hospitalization experience

Nurse to Patient Ratio: Day & Evening - 1:11-12, Night 1:17

Patient to Tech Ratio: Day & Evenng 1: 5; Night 1:7

Support Staff: Hospitalist on call, supervisor

Receptionist available: Yes

Floating: 2nd and 3rd Floor

EMR: EPIC

Scrubs: any color except tan, professional
