Where You'll Be:

The security department at Baptist Health LaGrange is responsible for providing a safe and secure healthcare environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Members of the security team utilize a variety of strategies, tactics, and tools to work effectively within the 90 bed acute care hospital featuring a recent multi-million dollar renovation. Baptist Health LaGrange is proud to serve residents of Oldham, Henry, Trimble, Carroll, and eastern Jefferson counties.

What You'll Do:

Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter criminal activity and ensure a visible security presence

Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, such as medical emergencies or fires and take appropriate action

Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify hazards, security vulnerabilities, and compliance issues as well as report findings to appropriate personnel and assist in implementing corrective measures

Mediate conflicts and de-escalate tense situations involving patients, visitors, or staff members, using effective communication and conflict resolution techniques. Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary

Why You're a Great Fit:

You have additional education or training in law enforcement, security management, or related fields (Strongly Preferred)

You have a High School diploma (Required)

You have a valid Driver's License with satisfactory driving record

You have, or will obtain, the following certifications within 6 months of hire and obtain thereafter: BLS, Taser 7, Avade Handcuff, Avade Healthcare Defensive Tactics, Aegis Crisis Prevent and De-escalation (within 30 days), IAHSS, and Hazardous Materials First Receiver (within 90 days)
