Overview

The Associate Wealth Planner works in a client-focused, team-centered environment assisting the advisory team with all aspects of financial planning and analysis for the firm’s clients. As an Associate Wealth Planner, you will be expected to assist on many of the planning-focused projects and analyses for the firm’s clients.

This position will report to Partner, Wealth Advisor.

Responsibilities

Collect and analyze client financial information to understand their goals, risk tolerance, and current financial situation.

Prepare charts, graphs, tables, balance sheets, and other visual aids to be used in meetings with clients.

Input data, prepare financial plans and preliminary recommendations / solutions for Wealth Strategist or Wealth Advisor review and use in client meetings. This would include:

Tax planning

Estate planning

Insurance recommendations

Charitable gifting

College planning

Identify, track and follow-up on client service needs and make recommendations on solutions to issues.

Research investment portfolio recommendations for prospects and clients.

Collaborate with senior team members to develop basic to intermediate financial plans that align with clients’ objectives.

Conduct investment asset class research.

Compile, enter, and monitor CRM data and workflows related to client financial planning requests.

Help prepare agendas, meeting materials, client correspondences, and analysis for client and prospect meetings.

Support the Wealth Planning & Wealth Advisory Teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

0 to 2 years of wealth management industry experience – RIA (Registered Investment Advisor) preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

CFP® designation preferred.

Basic understanding of tax, investments, and estate planning.

Investment research skills.

Developing project management and presentation skills.

Developing professional business acumen and communication skills.

Learning planning software such as Holistiplan, Money Guide Pro, Morningstar, etc.

Pay Information

This position is non-exempt and is paid according to the laws of the State of California. The pay range for this position is $65,800-$106,000 USD per year. We are required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Corient seeks to make reasonable accommodations that enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties when possible.

This position may require the ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

This position is required to work onsite 4 days per week.

U.S. Eligibility Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation.

Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. For U.S. employment opportunities, Corient hires U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. Corient will require proof of work authorization.
