Position Information Classification Title Student Assistant FLSA Non-Exempt UGA Job Code FTE .20 Minimum Qualifications Position Summary Assist with daily media relations and communications duties related to UGA's 21-sport varsity athletic program.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe Photoshop.

Adobe InDesign is beneficial.

Basic sports writing skills and social media capability.

Grady College or Sport Management majors preferred.

Students will be assigned certain sports to assist with Game Day operations.

Having a flexible schedule and working nights and weekends.

Students will also assist with office/Clerical operations of the Sports Communications department which includes answering phone calls, scanning documents, special projects and other duties as assigned.

Vision on this job includes close and distance vision, and peripheral vision.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but escalates to high during athletic competitions.
