SAGE Dining Services is on the hunt for an exceptional Sous Chef for a private school kitchen in the Upper East Side.

Our ideal candidate is a top-notch chef with a knack for creating amazing culinary experiences, especially in high-end catering and large-scale production settings.

They should have previous experience as a Sous Chef and be great at organizing and communicating, both verbally and in writing.

Being computer-savvy is a plus!

We need someone who can lead and coach a team effectively and who either has or can quickly get an NYC Food Handler card.

Our perfect candidate knows how to follow recipes and production standards to ensure every dish is top-notch, from temperature to portion size.

They're meticulous about food safety, always checking temperatures and following proper handling procedures.

Delegating tasks and keeping the kitchen running smoothly is second nature to them, as is keeping waste to a minimum and reporting any issues to supervisors.

They're also proactive about maintaining quality and cleanliness and are quick to offer guidance and encouragement to their team.

Schedule: * Monday- Friday * 5:45 A.M.- 2:30 P.M.
